Ducks players will be wearing camouflage Ducks jerseys during the pregame warmup for Military Appreciation Night. Jerseys will be autographed and auctioned starting at 5:00 p.m. PT on Saturday, 2/27 and the auction will run until Sunday, 2/28 at 12:00 p.m. PT. The night will then begin with a member of the military and his children dropping the puck on the United Heroes League outdoor rink in Minnesota. From there, one of United Heroes League youth will shoot the puck to Honda Center where Wild Wing will catch it and place it at center ice, signifying as the honorary first puck.
In addition, Cpl Megan Browning of the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing Band will sing the national anthem to start off the evening.During the evening, Ducks will feature a military swearing in ceremony through the For Families of Active Military organization, as well as honor a member of the military community for the Community Hero Award for their dedication to our country.
