LAST GAME: NOV. 16 - NEW JERSEY 0 at TORONTO 1 (OT)
The Devils lost in overtime to the Toronto Maple Leafs and were shutout for the second time this season (Oct. 20 0-3 vs. SJ). The club is now 11-4-3 overall and 6-1-2 on the road. The Devils are 1-0-1 on their current four-game road trip.
With the OT loss, New Jersey is 1-0-1 against Toronto in 2017-18 and 2-1-5 at Air Canada Centre since 2013-14. The two clubs will close out their regular season series on April 5 at Prudential Center. The Devils are 6-0-1 overall (3-0-1 road) vs. Atlantic Division competition in 2017-18 and 7-1-1 against Eastern Conference opponents.
New Jersey was 0-3 on the power play and 2-2 while shorthanded.
The Devils out-shot the Maple Leafs, 42-25. Toronto's 25 shots on goal tied a season-low against New Jersey (Oct. 9 at BUF, 25 shots). New Jersey is now 2-0-2 in games where they out-shoot their opponent.
Travis Zajac made his season debut after missing the team's first 17 games due to a torn Pectoral muscle. Zajac had 16:11 TOI and two shots on net in his debut.
Cory Schneider stopped 24 of 25 shots (.960 save%) and fell to 7-3-2. This is the second time this season that Schneider did not allow a goal in regulation (Nov. 1, 2-0 at VAN). Andy Greene led the Devils with 24:01 TOI and five blocked shots, while Taylor Hall and Kyle Palmieri were tied for the team-lead with seven shots apiece. This was Hall's third game this season with seven shots on net (Oct. 7 vs. COL & Nov. 3 at EDM).

This is the first of two meetings (also, Mar. 8 at NJ) between New Jersey and Winnipeg during the 2017-18 regular season. The Devils were 0-1-1 against the Jets in 2016-17.
New Jersey is currently on a four-game road trip (1-0-1) and will play three of its next four games against Western Conference opponents.
The Devils are 2-1-0 vs. the Central Division and are 4-3-2 overall against the Western Conference. New Jersey is 1-3-1 in its last five games overall against Winnipeg and are 16-9-4 all-time on the road vs. the Jets/Thrashers franchise.
Drew Stafford spent parts of three seasons (2015-17) with the Jets organization scoring 70 points (34g-36a) in 144 games played. Stafford was traded form the Jets to the Bruins at the 2017 Trade Deadline.
