Michel Therrien's men will play the sixth game of a seven-game stretch on the road, which ends Saturday in Toronto.
The Stars have not played since suffering a 3-1 loss to the Florida Panthers on New Year's Eve which saw a three-game win streak snapped.
The home side will be without captain Jamie Benn, who is nursing a foot injury, although the Habs will still have their hands full with Tyler Seguin -- the Stars' leading scorer with 13 goals and 25 assists since the start of the season.
Montreal has not lost in regulation since the Christmas break, going 2-0-2 over that span.
Therrien will once again split the work between the pipes in the back-to-back set, giving Al Montoya the start in Dallas after Carey Price made 22 saves in Tuesday's 2-1 win against the Predators.
Game time is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. EST, and will broadcast on SNE, SNO, SN360, and RDS in Canada.
