BROSSARD - Following Tuesday's morning skate at the Bell Sports Complex, head coach Michel Therrien that Andrei Markov would not be in the Canadiens' lineup against the Anaheim Ducks.

Markov suffered a lower-body injury during last Saturday night's contest in Washington and was forced to leave the game after logging 19:10 of ice time.
The Russian rearguard, who is celebrating his 38th birthday today, hasn't missed a game since April 3, 2015 and has made 116 consecutive appearances for the CH, which was the second-longest iron man streak on the team.
According to Therrien, it isn't a major injury and Markov's status remains day-to-day.
"We didn't want to rush things with this injury. He'll be re-evaluated on a daily basis. The most important thing for him and for us is that he'll be 100 percent healthy. We're going to take a step back and hope that he'll be able to hit the ice tomorrow and play the two other games this week. We're in December right now. It isn't Game 7 [of a playoff series]. We have to be smart about this," said Therrien.
With Markov out, Zach Redmond will be in uniform against Anaheim.
