MONTREAL - Here's a numerical look at Tuesday night's game between the Canadiens and the Avalanche at the Bell Centre.

8 - Tomas Plekanec took sole possession of eighth place on the Canadiens' all-time games played list on Tuesday night when he suited up against the Colorado Avalanche, playing the 969th game of his NHL career. The 35-year-old Czech centerman surpassed Yvan Cournoyer in that department.
21 - Number of hits the Canadiens dished out during the first period alone on Tuesday night, throwing their weight around against the Avalanche early. Nicolas Deslauriers led the way with four hits through 20 minutes of play.
