Shea-Weber

MONTREAL - A preliminary player list for various events at the upcoming Canadiens Skills Competition presented by RONA is now available.

The Skills Competition will be held on Sunday, January 20, at the Bell Centre. Doors will open at 9:30 a.m., with activities starting at 10:00 a.m.
Paul Byron will put his incredible wheels on display during the Fastest Skater event, which will also feature Jeff Petry. No doubt Byron will prove to be a tough adversary for Petry given his quickness, which has been his trademark over the course of his career.

The Accuracy Shooting event will feature the Canadiens' top-three point getters so far this season with snipers Max Domi, Jonathan Drouin, and Tomas Tatar all aligned to test their sharpshooting prowess.

The Long-Distance Accuracy Shooting event will see Phillip Danault and Artturi Lehkonen put the full extent of their precision skills on display as they look to find twine from one end to the other into extra-small nets.

The Hardest Shot event, meanwhile, will feature captain Shea Weber. The veteran rearguard is a three-time winner of the Hardest Shot event at the NHL's annual All-Star Skills Competition. Weber boasts the second-fastest shot in competition history with a blast of 108.5 mph in 2015. No word yet on whether his opponent Joel Armia has elected to throw in the towel and concede victory before the Skills Competition opens on January 20.
