BUFFALO – The Canadiens lost 5-3 to the Sabres at KeyBank Center on Thursday.

With an assist on Ivan Demidov’s first-period marker, Lane Hutson reached the 100-assist career milestone in the NHL. He became the second-fastest defenseman in League history to 100 career assists, trailing only Sergei Zubov who accomplished the feat in 127 games.

Special teams were a major factor in this game, as both teams combined for four goals on the man advantage.
