Montembeault on the status of his wrist injury after undergoing surgery:
It's going really well. I'm supposed to see my physiotherapist again today or tomorrow. But, it's going great. I'm just missing some range of motion from one last movement, and that's why I'm going to see him. Other than that, my wrist is moving great and I've been given the green light to start again this week. I'll start facing a small number of shots and I'm going to start skating more and more, too. Next week, I'm going up to Blainville to see my goalie coach and work with him. It's getting better and better and I'll be ready for training camp.
Montembeault on improving a key aspect of his game to be more consistent:
I need to improve my preparation. I've improved a lot in that area since I turned pro. You always need to be ready when a game starts. We're going to be a really young team and we're going to face good teams, so it'll be important to be ready come puck drop. You need to be solid to help your teammates gain confidence.
Montembeault on always believing in himself and his abilities:
I never stopped believing. I knew I had the potential to achieve a goal like this. Even though I played the majority of my games in the AHL, I had the chance to move up every year. But, I always believed in myself and I'm happy that I achieved this goal in a Canadiens uniform. I just need to keep working hard to keep this going and sign an even better contract the next time around.
