MONTREAL - The Canadiens announced on Monday that Andreas Martinsen and Byron Froese were sent down to the AHL's Laval Rocket.
The two forwards were placed on waivers the day before by the Habs, but were not claimed by the League's 30 other teams. Martinsen, acquired from Colorado in February, collected one assist in three preseason games while Froese, signed as a free agent on July 1, went pointless in six exhibition tilts.
