MONTREAL - The Canadiens announced that they had made several personnel moves midday on Monday.

First off, the Habs sent Charlie Lindgren down to the AHL's Laval Rocket. The goaltender saw 90 minutes of crease time in the preseason, registering one win and one loss in the process. The 23-year-old allowed two goals for a goals-against average of 1.33 and a save percentage of .941.
The Canadiens also placed forward Andreas Martinsen on waivers. The 27-year-old Norwegian suited up for three exhibition games, collecting one assist and recording three shots on net.
The left winger was acquired from the Colorado Avalanche at last season's trade deadline in exchange for Sven Andrighetto.
Forward Byron Froese will also be going through waivers. Acquired at the start of free agency this summer, the 26-year-old center dressed for six preseason games. He did not register any points and was assessed four penalty minutes.
The Canadiens have until Tuesday to submit their 23-man opening night roster. The first game is set for Thursday night, with Claude Julien's troops facing the Sabres in Buffalo.
