MONTREAL -- The Canadiens announced on Saturday that defenseman Kale Clague has been placed on injured reserve with an upper-body injury.
The 23-year-old Regina, SK native has appeared in 23 games with Montreal this season, registering one goal and one assist while averaging 16:04 of ice time per outing. A second-round pick of the Kings (51st overall) in 2016, Clague was claimed off waivers from Los Angeles on December 4. He has 56 games of NHL experience between the Kings and the Canadiens.
