Cayden Primeau

MONTREAL - The Canadiens reassigned goalie Cayden Primeau to the AHL's Laval Rocket, after it was announced that Carey Price would make his return against the New York Islanders on Friday.

Primeau had been recalled on April 10 after Jake Allen suffered a groin injury in the previous night's game against the Toronto Maple Leafs. Allen left the game and did not return.
Primeau has played 12 games for the Habs this season, posting an .868 save percentage. The 22-year-old netminder will rejoin the Rocket, who face the Cleveland Monsters on Saturday.
The American backstop will provide some reinforcements to Laval, which is on the cusp of securing a berth in the 2022 AHL Playoffs.
