MONTREAL -- It's always good to know you have a 10-time Stanley Cup champion in your corner.

Just ask Cole Caufield, who enjoyed a meet-and-greet with Hall of Famer Yvan Cournoyer after the April 19 game against the Minnesota Wild at the Bell Centre.
Cournoyer shared some words of encouragement with the young sniper during a chat that was filmed as part of the "Coffee At Home with the Canadiens" series, presented by Tim Hortons.

"I really like your style. When you're on the ice, I can see the game is changing," Cournoyer told Caufield following the shutout loss. "When I was playing, they called me the Roadrunner, but you're a pretty good Roadrunner, too."
That incredible compliment brought a smile to the University of Wisconsin product's face, of course.
To say he was flattered would be an understatement.
"I'm just trying to be like you," replied Caufield. "We love having you here."
Cournoyer, who ranks fourth in franchise history in goals and sixth in points, also talked to the dynamic winger about his mindset when he's struggling to light the lamp.
Caufield was in the midst of a five-game goal drought at the time after scoring in four consecutive contests.
"I don't think you're going to score every night, but keep going and have fun. That's the main thing," stressed Cournoyer. "You're here for a while."
Caufield took that advice to heart, netting five more goals in the final five games of the season - including a hat trick in the finale - to close the campaign with a team-leading 23.

The former Canadiens captain was adamant that the 21-year-old American is destined for team success, on top of putting up big numbers.
"You're going to win a Stanley Cup before you get out of here," stated Cournoyer. "I'm not worried for you. You're going to win. And if you don't win, tell me and I'll play on the power play with you."

Caufield's father, Paul, eventually joined the conversation.
He told Cournoyer a unique family story.
"My father played hockey, too. We moved to Milwaukee, but we grew up in the Sault, in Ontario. Every time we'd go back home, we'd have to shut off the lights and watch Hockey Night in Canada," recounted the elder Caufield. "I was nine, 10, 11, your last few years there, and we had to watch the Canadiens because he liked the way you played because he was the same size you were."
The exchange later ended with the Habs legend showing Caufield some more love.
"He's my Roadrunner for me," concluded Cournoyer.
It really doesn't get any better than that.
