MONTREAL -- The Montreal Canadiens announced on Saturday that the club has traded Brandon Baddock to the Minnesota Wild in exchange for goaltender Andrew Hammond.

Hammond, 34, posted a 6-2-3 record in 11 games with the AHL's Iowa Wild this season, while recording a 2.44 goals-against average and a .908 save percentage.
The Surrey, BC native has played in 56 career games over five seasons in the NHL with the Ottawa Senators and Colorado Avalanche, posting a 27-15-6 record. He owns a career goals-against average of 2.31, along with a .923 save percentage and four shutouts.
Hammond entered the league as an undrafted free agent with the Senators in 2013 and made his first career NHL start against the Canadiens on February 18, 2015.
