2018 NHL All-Star Weekend recap

TAMPA -- The Sunshine State got a whole lot cooler during NHL All-Star Weekend in Tampa.
All eyes were on the ice as hockey hit the beach, and Team Pacific won the 3-on-3 tournament in a 5-2 decision over Team Atlantic.
Here's a look at some of the fun in the sun had by Carey Price & Co. at the NHL's marquee three-day event:

The weekend got off on the right foot -- or make that paw -- as the All-Stars were surprised with puppies during their arrival interviews on Friday.

...Before later taking part in more traditional, puppy-less interviews.

This year's All-Star Weekend coincided with the Gasparilla Pirate Festival in Tampa, the largest pirate-themed parade in the United States and the third largest parade of any kind.
Held almost every year since 1904 in Tampa, this year's swashbuckling festivities were nevertheless the first to incorporate Canadiens mascot Youppi!

In fact, never ones to miss a party, every NHL mascot was on-hand for the annual gathering.

On Saturday, pre-Skills entertainment was provided courtesy of Flo Rida, in the American rapper's almost eponymous home state.

Officially, Price has registered 12 assists over the course of his NHL career, but he may well have added a 13th -- albeit unofficially -- on this sequence with John Tavares during the Skills Competition.

The Canadiens netminder was not on the docket for any Skills events, but still soaked in the atmosphere while hamming it up with other NHL stars, including his Calgary counterpart Mike Smith.

One year after making her NHL All-Star debut in Los Angeles, Liv Price was back alongside her dad in Tampa on Sunday, this time helping pops sign some autographs on the red carpet.

While looking spiffy outdoors on the red carpet, Price also had some pretty slick duds awaiting him inside Amalie Arena.

Price also looked good between the pipes, allowing just one goal to a stacked Team Metropolitan.

Team Atlantic advanced to the 3-on-3 tournament final, courtesy of a 7-4 win over their Eastern Conference rivals.

Price's teammate-for-a-day, Nikita Kucherov, notably treated the home crowd to a hat trick opposite Team Metropolitan.

Pregame entertainment for Sunday's main event was provided courtesy of Florida-born country musician Chase Rice.

In the Western Conference, Team Pacific defeated the Central Division All-Stars 5-2 to setup an ocean-themed Atlantic-Pacific final.

"MAKE SOME NOISE!"

Price started the second half of Sunday's final, giving up a pair of goals to the eventual champs in a 5-2 decision.

Congrats, Pacific! Just don't spend it all at once.
