STAT OF THE WEEK: Zdeno Chara is expected to play in his 1,400th NHL game on Saturday, February 3 versus the Toronto Maple Leafs. The other seven defensemen on the roster (Brandon Carlo, Torey Krug, Matt Grzelcyk, Adam McQuaid, Charlie McAvoy, Kevan MillerandPaul Postma) have a combined total of 1,477 NHL games played.

PUCKS AND PADDLES: The first annual Patrice Bergeron & 98.5 The Sports Hub's Pucks and Paddles will be held at Royale Boston (279 Tremont St, Boston, MA 02116) on Thursday, February 15 from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. The tournament will feature players from the active Boston Bruins roster, on-air personalities from 98.5 The Sports Hub, and patients from Floating Hospital for Children at Tufts Medical Center.
The event will feature a single elimination tournament featuring Bruins players, on air talent and the winning bidders. The rounds will advance to a championship game featuring the final two teams, with a winning tandem being crowned the Patrice Bergeron & 98.5 The Sports Hub's Pucks and Paddles champions. In addition, the four best Bruins ping pong players will participate in a separate informal singles competition to demonstrate their talents to the crowd. All attendees upon arrival will have the opportunity to purchase an entry into a raffle to participate in additional ping pong games against select players. BRUINS ALUMNI GAMES:On Saturday, February 3, the Boston Bruins Alumni will face off against the Dana Farber Rink Rats. The game will be held at 2pm at Warrior Ice Arena in Brighton and will benefit the Dana Farber/Jimmy Fund. On Saturday, February 10, The Boston Bruins Alumni will play the Reading Fire and Ice in a game to benefit the Reading Cooperative Charitable Fund for the Schoolhouse Condo Fire Fund. The puck drops at 2pm at Burbank Arena in Reading, MA. Tickets are $10 for anyone 10 years old or older with a family max of $40. Tickets are available for purchase at any Reading Cooperative Bank or at the door. Terry O'Reilly, Steve Leach and Mike Mottau are expected in the lineup.
On Sunday, February 11, The Boston Bruins Alumni will play the Stephen Cmar ROTC Crusaders. The game is scheduled for 3pm at the Everett Arena in Concord, NH and will benefit the Stephen Cmar Scholarship Fund. Tickets are $10 for adults and children and will be available at the door. Rick Middleton, Terry O'Reilly and Bob Sweeney are expected in the lineup.
