BOSTON -The Boston Bruins will host Women in Sports Night, presented by Rapid7, on Tuesday, March 21, during their home game against the Ottawa Senators at 7 p.m. at TD Garden.
The night will highlight women who work and compete in the sports community, including athletes and Bruins staff. Local girl's high school hockey players and MIAA scholastic award winners will accompany Bruins players during their pregame walk-ins to TD Garden, assisted by Olympic Gold Medalist and Boston Pride defender Kali Flanagan. In-arena host Michaela Johnson will manage the game's PA mic, while Natalie Noury will take over as the in-arena host for the evening. Tuesday's Arbella Kid Captain will be Lillian Golden, a 9-year-old defender from Reading Youth Hockey.

In collaboration with Women in Sports Night, the Bruins have announced the Ultimate Hockey Mom award winner, Silvia Anstey. An Ottawa, Ontario native, Anstey moved to New Hampshire and became a United States citizen 20 years ago. Silvia is a true lover of the sport of hockey and her husband, son, and daughter have all participated in the sport since a young age. Anstey has given her time volunteering endless hours as a team mom, driving thousands of miles to practices and games, hosting pasta parties and organizing fundraisers, all while working and opening her home to billets throughout the years. Recently, Anstey received news of a stage IV metastatic breast cancer diagnosis. Since her diagnosis, she has been able to fundraise over $10,000 for metastatic breast cancer awareness.
During the game, Dress for Success will be onsite to take donations via QR code on the Loge concourse as part of their "Your Hour, Her Power" program. The mission of the program is to empower women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire and the development tools to help women thrive in professional settings.
As part of Women's History Month, the Bruins hosted a Women in Sports networking event at TD Garden on March 15th featuring panelists Amy Latimer (President, TD Garden), Michaela Johnson (In-Arena Host, Boston Bruins), Cosmina Schulman(NESN Senior Vice President of Broadcast & Digital Partnerships), Kali Flanagan(Olympic Gold Medalist & Boston Pride Defender) and Kathy Klinger(Rapid7 Chief Marketing Officer). Additionally, the Bruins will host Girl's Hockey Day, presented by Wasabi, on March 27, where over 400 youth hockey players across New England have been invited to participate in Learn to Play clinics and on-ice sessions at TD Garden. The arena also announced earlier today that it will host the 2024 Dunkin' Women's Beanpot Championship, which will be played at an NHL arena for the first time in 45 years of Women's Beanpot history.
NESN will cover Tuesday's game against the Ottawa Senators with pregame coverage hosted by Sophia Jurksztowicz, alongside guest analyst and 2015 Hockey Hall of Fame inductee Angela Ruggiero, a four-time Olympic medalist. NESN's coverage of the night is presented by Bauer and will focus on women in sports throughout the broadcast, including interviews with TD Garden President Amy Latimer, as well as a discussion around the rise of women in front office positions in the National Hockey League, including Bruins' Player Development and Scouting Assistant Danielle Marmer. NESN will also highlight the Massport Jets women's hockey team, which originated in 1970 in East Boston and was an early advocate for women's hockey in the Olympics.
In addition to the broadcast, NESN will also highlight a significant growth in female viewership on NESN this Bruins season. Female viewership has grown across all age demographics, including 46 percent for women ages 18-34 and 58 percent for women in the 25-54 audience, in comparison to last season's average. Female viewership of the Boston Bruins on NESN accounts for 44 percent of the total adult 25-54 demographic, highlighting women as one of the main drivers of Bruins hockey viewership and fandom growth this season.
