BOSTON -The Boston Bruins will honor medalists with New England ties from the 2018 Winter Olympic Games in PyeongChang, South Korea during this evening's game against the Columbus Blue Jackets at TD Garden at 7:00 p.m. Members of the gold medal-winning U.S. Women's Hockey Team including Cayla Barnes, Kacey Bellamy, Brianna Decker, Meghan Duggan, Kali Flanagan, Megan Keller, Amanda Pelkey, and Haley Skarupa, luger Chris Mazdzer, and ice dancing duo Alexand Maia Shibutani will be in attendance to partake in the ceremonial puck drop prior to the game.

Cayla Barnes skated in five games with the Boston College women's hockey team before she joined the U.S. Women's National Team. Prior to Boston College, Barnes played four seasons at New Hampton School in New Hampton, NH. She finished her New Hampton Career with 42 goals and 103 assists for 155 points in 112 games. Barnes is a native of Eastvale, CA.
Kacey Bellamy, a native of Westfield, MA, has represented the U.S. at three Winter Olympic Games (2010, 2014, and 2018). She most recently served as an alternate captain at the 2018 Winter Olympics and skated in five games, recording one goal. Bellamy played four seasons at the University of New Hampshire and played seven seasons of professional hockey for both the Boston Blades of the Canadian Women's Hockey League (CWHL) and the Boston Pride of the National Women's Hockey League (NWHL).
Brianna Decker has spent the last two seasons skating for the Boston Pride of the NWHL. The two-time Olympic medalist was also named NWHL Most Valuable Player for two straight seasons and helped the Pride win the 2016 Isobel Cup in the inaugural season of the NWHL. Decker is a native of Dousman, Wisconsin and attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Meghan Duggan, hailing from Danvers, MA, is a three-time Olympic medalist (2010, 2014, 2018) and served as the captain of the 2018 U.S. Olympic Women's Hockey Team. Duggan attended Cushing Academy in Ashburnham, MA and then went on to play collegiate hockey at the University of Wisconsin, where she captured three NCAA Division I titles. She has skated in eight World Championships, earning medals in all eight. Professionally, she has played for the Boston Blades (CWHL), Buffalo Beauts (NWHL), and most recently the Boston Pride (NWHL).
Kali Flanagan, a native of Burlington, MA, skated in all five games at the 2018 Winter Olympics. She was a member of the Boston College women's hockey team for three seasons and was a part of the team's defense that set a new program record with 14 shutouts during the 2015-2016 season. Flanagan was also a member of the U.S. team that won gold at the International Ice Hockey Federation Women's World Championship in 2017.
Megan Keller spent the past three seasons playing for the Boston College women's hockey team. She skated in all five games at the 2018 Winter Olympics, recording two assists. She has played in three IIHF Women's World Championships in 2015, 2016, and 2017, earning a gold medal with Team USA all three years. Keller is a native of Farmington, Michigan.
Amanda Pelkey, a Montpelier, VT native, skated in her first Winter Olympics in 2018. She played four seasons at the University of Vermont, finishing as the program's all-time leader in goals (49), assists (56) and points (105). Following her stint at UVM, Pelkey played two seasons of professional hockey with the Boston Pride. She appeared in the NWHL All-Star Game in 2016.
Haley Skarupa played four seasons at Boston College from 2012-2016. Following her collegiate career, she played two seasons of professional hockey with the Connecticut Whale, and most recently, the Boston Pride. Skarupa has appeared in three IIHF Women's World Championships in 2015, 2016, 2017, earning a gold medal at all three. Skarupa is a native of Rockville, MD.
Chris Mazdzer, born in Pittsfield, MA, earned a silver medal in the men's luge at the 2018 Winter Olympic Games. This marked his third Olympic appearance, having participated in the 2010 and 2014 games as well. Mazdzer is a seven-time men's luge national champion.
Alex and Maia Shibutani, the brother and sister ice dancing pair known to fans as the "Shib Sibs," earned two bronze medals at the 2018 Winter Olympic Games, one in the team event and the other in the ice dance event. The duo also competed in the 2014 Winter Olympic Games. Alex and Maia teamed up to compete in ice dancing in 2004. Alex was born in Boston, MA. The pair currently resides in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
