Bruins Assign Three Players To Providence

BOSTON - Boston Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney announced today, November 17, that the team has assigned forwards Paul Carey and Trent Frederic and defenseman Urho Vaakanainen to Providence.
Carey, 31, made his NHL season debut against Washington on November 16 and leads Providence in scoring this season with seven goals and six assists for 13 points with a plus-eight rating in 17 games.
Frederic, 21, has appeared in two games with Boston and has tallied five assists in 15 games with Providence this season.
Vaakanainen, 20, has skated in three games with Boston and has also tallied two assists in 15 games with Providence this season.
