BostonBruins.com - It has been over 15 months since John Beecher and the rest of the Bruins 2019 NHL Draft Class heard their names called in Vancouver. Here's a quick look at how the prospects have fared in the year-plus since their selections:

Round 1, 30th Overall | John Beecher

The left-shot center, selected out of the U.S. National Team Development Program, had a strong freshman campaign for the University of Michigan. The 19-year-old Elmira, New York, native picked up nine goals and 16 points in 31 games for the Wolverines and was named to the Big Ten All-Freshman team. Michigan was 11-2 when he registered a point.
The 6-foot-3, 209-pound pivot was recently invited to the 2021 U.S. National Junior Team Evaluation Camp in Plymouth, Michigan (Oct. 8-13) and is likely to compete for the United States in the upcoming World Junior Championship for the second consecutive year.
Beecher will be back with the Wolverines for his sophomore year when and if the NCAA season commences.

Round 3, 92nd Overall | Quinn Olson

The 5-foot-11, 170-pound winger was selected out of the AJHL where he collected 66 points and 20 goals in his second and final season with the Okotoks Oilers. In 2019-20, the Calgary native picked up 15 points (seven goals, eight assists) as a freshman for the University of Minnesota-Duluth, leading the team's first-year players in all three categories.
Olson, 19, was named the UMD's Rookie of the Year for his efforts, while also earning a spot on the National Collegiate Hockey Conference All-Academic Team.

Round 5, 154th Overall | Roman Bychkov

The 5-foot-11, 170-pound Russian defenseman picked up 26 points (7 goals, 19 assists) in 62 games for Loko Yaroslavl of the MHL, his native country's junior league, in 2019-20. The 19-year-old is currently playing for Buran Voronezh of the Supreme Hockey League (VHL), Russia's second-highest level of professional hockey. He has a goal and an assist, along with 31 penalty minutes, through six games.

Round 6, 185th Overall | Matias Mantykivi

The Finnish forward had six points (three goals, three assists) in 42 games for SaiPa Lappeenranta of the Finnish Elite League last season. The 5-foot-10, 143-pounder added seven assists in eight games for Kettera Imatra of Mestis, Finland's second-highest league.
So far in 2020-21, the 19-year-old has two assists in two games for SaiPa Lappeenranta.

Round 7, 192nd Overall | Jake Schmaltz

The 6-foot-2, 183-pound forward notched 32 points (13 goals, 19 assists) in 47 games for the Green Bay Gamblers of the USHL last season. Schmaltz, 19, will once again suit up for the Gamblers in 2020-21, with the USHL season expected to begin in early November.
The McFarland, Wisconsin, native has committed to the University of North Dakota for the 2021-22 season.
