by Chris Pinkert / St. Louis Blues

ST. LOUIS - Robert Thomas left Thursday's game against the Montreal Canadiens in the first period with an upper-body injury.

Thomas, who scored a power-play goal less than two minutes into the game, crashed heavily into the end boards midway through the first period while trying to capitalize on a scoring chance with teammate Oskar Sundqvist.

Thomas played one minute and 55 seconds before the injury and had two shots on goal.
