ST. LOUIS - Hot off a Stanley Cup Championship and hosting the 2020 NHL All-Star Game, the St. Louis Blues have partnered with global restauranteur HMSHost to open The Blue Note at St. Louis Lambert International Airport (STL).

The new hockey-themed restaurant near Gate E18 in Terminal 2 gives travelers, sports fans, and hockey fans an immersive dining experience that celebrates the winning tradition of the St. Louis Blues. Guests will be drawn to The Blue Note, which is both the team's nickname and their signature logo. There will be plenty of selfie opportunities here with murals and a major collection of memorabilia on display including helmets, pucks, and sticks used by players during their championship season last year, and many more mementos from their 50 plus years as a NHL franchise. The St. Louis Blues and HMSHost will host an invite-only grand opening event at the restaurant on March 12.
"The St. Louis Blues have one of the best fan bases in sport - locally and across the globe," said Steve Chapman, St. Louis Blues Executive Vice President. "We are proud to partner with HMSHost to bring the power of that devotion and pride to St. Louis Lambert International Airport. The Blue Note will bring a unique dining and social environment for Blues fans and fellow travelers to enjoy as they depart, visit or arrive home to St. Louis."
The restaurant design is an homage to the Blues' former home, the St. Louis Arena, with a warehouse feel that features reclaimed wood and steel, with more modern touches of blue and white tile. There's seating for more than 110 guests, including 22 around the bar. Guests can get their sports fix from any seat in the restaurant with multiple video walls and TV's. For this first-ever restaurant concept, HMSHost, STL's master food and beverage concessionaire, and the St. Louis Blues have collaborated on every detail - from the engaging and vibrant restaurant design to a St. Louis and St. Louis Blues-inspired custom menu.
"The Blue Note has turned Terminal 2 into center ice, where every day is now a game-day dining experience," said HMSHost Vice President of Business Development Bryan Loden. "HMSHost, its joint venture partner D&D Concessions LLC, the Airport, and St. Louis Blues teamed up on this unique restaurant that is a must stop for blue bleeding fans and all STL travelers."
"In St. Louis, we tend to have an appetite for great food and great sports. This new and exciting addition is the best of both worlds, bringing together savory menu items and the rich history of our beloved Stanley Cup champions, the St. Louis Blues," said St. Louis City Mayor Lyda Krewson. "It's just another example of how we're building a stronger airport with world-class amenities and services."
The Blue Note offers a full service casual dine-in menu beginning with breakfast, which includes "Bluesberry Pancakes." Get your apps on with offerings like "Game 7 Poutine," "Louie's Nachos," a "Hat Trick Quesadilla," and the ever popular St. Louis favorite, toasted ravioli. Lunch or dinner menu items include a "Blue Note BLT," "Chicken Cordon Blues," "Blues Burger," or the "Penalty Box Salad."
A full-service bar offers in-dining or to-go craft brews, wine and cocktails. Like the food menu, there are custom-crafted hockey and St. Louis Blues inspired drinks to enjoy here like the "Blues Street" (blueberry and vanilla infused J. Rieger's whiskey, Campari, Carpano Antica, and orange peel) or the "5 Minutes For Fighting" (Maestro Dobel tequila, peach syrup, citra sour, spiked seltzer and lime).
The Blue Note's location is near the center of Terminal 2, which serves Southwest Airlines and many international flights. More than 4.7 million passengers boarded flights from Terminal 2 in 2019. HMSHost, along with its partners, operate more than 30 fast-casual, quick serve, and grab-'n-go venues at STL.
