Klim Kostin will make his season debut on Wednesday night when the Blues face-off against the Minnesota Wild (8 p.m. CT, BSMW, 101 ESPN).
Kostin was assigned to the Kontinental Hockey League last September when the NHL season was still uncertain. He recorded 18 points (seven goals, 11 assists) in 43 regular-season games, then netted nine points (five goals, four assists) in 24 playoff games to help Avangard Omsk to its first-ever KHL championship last month.

Kostin returned to St. Louis on May 4 but was required to quarantine before joining the team. On Wednesday, he was on the ice at Centene Community Ice Center on a line with Robert Thomas and Mike Hoffman, where he is expected to play on Wednesday.
"Obviously he's a big-body guy, power-forward type hockey," Blues Head Coach Craig Berube said of Kostin. "(Play) up and down the wing, bang bodies, go to the net, just simple hockey. He doesn't need to complicate the game, just go north/south, manage the puck properly and use his big body."

Tyler Bozak will not be in the lineup Wednesday. Berube said Bozak is healthy but will get some extra rest before the Stanley Cup Playoffs begin. Vladimir Tarasenko (lower-body), Vince Dunn (upper-body) and Sammy Blais (lower-body) will not play Wednesday but all three could be available to play Thursday. Niko Mikkola, who had an upper-body injury and was unavailable to play Monday, is expected to play Wednesday with Robert Bortuzzo.
Ville Husso is likely to start in goal.
