500 goals in the NHL.
It's a rare feat.

In fact, only 45 players in NHL history have scored at least 500 goals in their career, and only two are currently playing in the NHL (Alex Ovechkin and Patrick Marleau).
On Dec. 22, 1996 - 22 years ago today - Brett Hull scored his 500th career goal to complete a hat trick - which was the 26th of his career - as the Blues went on to defeat the Los Angeles Kings 7-4.
With the goal, Brett joined his father, Bobby Hull, as the only father/son combo in NHL history to score at least 500 goals each.
Brett Hull still stands as the Blues' all-time leading goal scorer with 527 goals and ranks fourth all-time in NHL history with 741 goals, while Bobby Hull ranks 18th all-time with 610 goals.
