Blues recall Zherenko under emergency conditions

The St. Louis Blues have recalled goaltender Vadim Zherenko from the AHL's Springfield Thunderbirds under emergency conditions.
In addition, the team assigned goaltender Joel Hofer to Springfield.

Zherenko, a 2019 seventh-round pick, has yet to make his NHL debut but is 10-8-3 with a 2.96 goals-against average and a .918 save-percentage with the Thunderbirds this season.
Zherenko is expected to serve as the backup to Jordan Binnington in Thursday's regular-season finale in Dallas.
Hofer appeared in six games with the Blues in the 2022-23 season, posting a 3-1-1 record with a 3.22 goals-against average and .905 save-percentage. In Springfield this season, Hofer is 25-15-5 with a 2.57 goals-against average, a .918 save-percentage and four shutouts.
