The Chicago Blackhawks announced today that they have recalled defenseman Dennis Gilbert from the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League

Gilbert skated in two games this preseason for Chicago. He made his National Hockey League debut with the Blackhawks on April 3, 2019 vs. STL. He notched 14 points (5G, 9A) in 63 regular-season games with the IceHogs during the 2018-19 campaign. A native of Buffalo, New York, Gilbert was selected by the Blackhawks in the third round (91st overall) of the 2015 NHL Draft.
The Blackhawks begin the 2019-20 regular-season schedule this afternoon at O2 Arena in Prague, Czech Republic against the Philadelphia Flyers at 1 p.m. CT as a part of the NHL's Global Series. That game can be seen on NBC Sports Chicago, streamed on NBCSportsChicago.com and on the My Teams by NBC Sports app and heard on WGN Radio.
