RAPID REACTION:The Blackhawks erased a two-goal deficit to enter the third period even with the Ducks, but it was in that final frame that Ondrej Kase took back the lead and Jakob Silfverberg potted the empty-netter to give Anaheim the 4-2 win. Chicago has now dropped five straight.
The Ducks made it 1-0 when a wrister from Brandon Montour found twine at 5:41 of the first. They followed it up just 20 seconds later with Daniel Sprong scoring his first goal of the season and first as a Duck.

Kase ripped the momentum right back for the Ducks with the goal to make it 3-2 at 4:03 of the third.
Silfverberg's empty-net goal came at 18:29 of the final frame.
ANOTHER ROUGH START:For the eighth straight game the Blackhawks allowed the first goal. Two Ducks scores within a span of 20 seconds early in the first period forced Chicago to play from behind right away. Luckily for the Blackhawks, they were able to battle back and even things up very late in the second, wiping away their slow start and giving them a chance in the third.
IN GOOD COMPANY:WIth his assist on Gustafsson's goal, Patrick Kane tied Gary Suter for fifth-most career assists by a U.S. born player within their first 12 seasons (534).

TOO MANY POSTS:The Blackhawks didn't play poorly for a huge chunk of this game and had their opportunities. Unfortunately, the Blackhawks hit four posts in the loss.
WHAT'S NEXT:The Blackhawks close out this back-to-back on Thursday against the Golden Knights in Las Vegas. The game will begin at 9 p.m. CT and can be seen on NBCSCH or heard on WGN 720.
