It was a special night for Patrick Kane, skating in his 1,000th regular-season game, but the Blackhawks couldn't celebrate with points on the board Tuesday as they fell in Dallas, 6-1.
Mattias Janmark scored the lone goal of the game for the visitors against his former team and Malcolm Subban stopped 31 of the 37 shots he faced in the loss.

STAT OF THE NIGHT: At 32 years, 110 days old, Kane officially became the youngest Blackhawk to reach 1,000 games played with the team and the seventh in franchise history.

1st - 1:40 - Joel Kiviranta (Roope Hintz, Jason Robertson)

The home side quickly dampened the 1Kane party with the game's opening goal just 100 seconds in. Off an early 2-on-1 chance, Roope Hintz found a late-trailing Joel Kiviranta on the far side for the quick score and a 1-0 advantage.

1st - 15:10 - Jamie Oleksiak (Jamie Benn, Denis Gurianov)

Dallas doubled their lead before the opening frame's end as Jamie Oleksiak put home a juicy rebound in the slot off the rush following a Blackhawks scoring chance at the other end. Jaime Benn put a shot on goal from a wide angle that Malcolm Subban got a pad on, but it kicked right to Oleksiak for a 2-0 lead.

2nd - 1:43 - Mattias Janmark - (Lucas Carlsson, Calvin de Haan)

Off a set play following an offensive zone faceoff, Mattias Janmark got the Blackhawks on the board with a goal in his second straight contest. Carl Soderberg won the draw over to Calvin de Haan who relayed it on to Lucas Carlsson at the point. The rookie D-man quickly found Janmark on the weak side for a one-time tally to make it 2-1.

2nd - 6:25 - John Klingberg (Ty Dellandrea, Radek Faksa) -- PPG

Dallas answered back on the man advantage as John Klingberg put an off-balance wrist shot from distance towards goal, working its way through bodies in front and past Malcolm Subban for a 3-1 lead.

2nd - 9:55 - Joe Pavelski (Jason Robertson)

Coming off the bench after a late change, Joe Pavelski was sprung on a breakaway behind the Blackhawks defense, going one-on-one with Malcolm Subban. The netminder made the initial stop on a crafty move from the veteran, but Pavelski was able to tuck the rebound past an off-balance Subban for a 4-1 scoreline.

2nd - 11:25 - Esa Lindell (Jason Robertson, Joel Kiviranta)

The Stars added a fifth 90 seconds later as Jason Robertson pulled up inside the Blackhawks blue line, spun and found Esa Lindell in the high slot. The defenseman put a quick wrist shot on goal that deflected off the butt of Malcolm Subban's stick and just below the cross bar for a 5-1 lead.

3rd - 6:46 - Roope Hintz (Jason Robertson)

In the third, Roope Hintz made it a five-goal lead as he showcased his hand-eye coordination on a broken play. Jason Robertson's shot attempt from distance was deflected skyward, but Hintz made a reaching effort in the slot, making contact just before the puck hit the ice, batting the puck into the next for a 6-1 lead.
