The Blackhawks completed the comeback on Friday afternoon to pull a 3-2 win over the Blues after trailing 2-0 at the first intermission.
Alex DeBrincat scored the game-winner in overtime to complete the comeback bid, following regulation goals from Jujhar Khaira in the second and Brandon Hagel with just over five minutes to play in the third. Kevin Lankinen made 23 saves in his second win of the year.

The Blues opened the scoring early with a 3-on-1 rush in the first minute of action. Bringing the puck across the blue line, Jordan Kyrou found Pavel Buchnevich driving towards the back post for a tap-in tally and a 1-0 advantage

On second power play of the afternoon, the league's second-best power play doubled the lead as Ivan Barbashev put home the rebound off a Robert Thomas shot in tight to make it a 2-0 score at the United Center.

2nd - 0:34 - Jujhar Khaira (Mike Hardman, Reese Johnson)

The Blackhawks answered with an opening-minute goal of their own in the second period to halve the Blues lead. Reese Johnson hit Mike Hardman with a pass in the slot that the winger shoveled towards goal and off the shoulder of Jordan Binnington in net, arching into the air and over his shoulder. Jujhar Khaira then bunted the puck into the net from the blue paint as it tumbled back towards the ice to make it a 2-1 game.

3rd - 14:56 - Brandon Hagel (Seth Jones, Jonathan Toews)

The Blues held a one-goal lead until late in the third when Brandon Hagel found the net for the third straight game, Hagel and Jonathan Toews won a puck back in the offensive end on a forecheck before going to work with possession deep in the zone. Toews worked the puck to Seth Jones at the point, whose shot was deflected by Hagel in the slot for a 2-2 score.
