VS. TAMPA BAY

Former division rivals match up for the first time since April 27th of last season when the Blackhawks and Lightning closed out their eight-game season series. The Lightning won the finale 7-4 and went 7-0-1 against Chicago during the 2020-21 campaign.
Alex DeBrincat paced the Blackhawks with five goals and eight points against the Lightning last season and has a point (1G, 2A) in three consecutive games against Tampa Bay. Patrick Kane led the team with six assists againt Tampa last season.
Tyler Johnson is set to play his former team who he helped win back-to-back Stanley Cups in 2020 and 2021. He played all 82 games for the Lightning in 2013-14, setting a team rookie record with 24 goals and being named a finalist for the Calder Trophy as the NHL's top rookie.

QUICK STRIKE

Alex DeBrincat scored 24 seconds into the middle frame on Saturday in Philadelphia, which marked the Blackhawks' fastest goal from the start of a period this season. DeBrincat eclipsed the previous mark set by Brandon Hagel on Nov. 1, 2021 (0:27 of 3rd).

STROME DOUBLE

Dylan Strome tallied his second multi-goal game of the season (Jan. 26 at DET) and fifth of his career in the loss to the Flyers. He also matched a season high with six shots on goal.

GOALAPALOOZA

Alex DeBrincat scored his 150th career NHL goal yesterday. He required the seventh-fewest games (342) in franchise history to score 150 career goals with Chicago (NHL debut or otherwise). The only players to do it in fewer games were: Jeremy Roenick (302 GP), Al Secord (308 GP), Steve Larmer (315 GP), Doug Bentley (325 GP), Bill Mosienko (328 GP) and Denis Savard (339 GP).
DeBrincat matched the league lead with his third overtime goal of the 2021-22 campaign on Thursday night. The marker was his 30th of the season and to date, DeBrincat is one of 10 players with at least three 30-goal campaigns since he made his debut during the 2017-18 season. He is one of five players in team history to notch three or more seasons of at least 30 goals before their 25th birthday (Savard, B. Hull, Larmer and Roenick).

POINT PER KANE

Patrick Kane had an assist against the Flyers on Saturday and now has points, including three multi-point efforts, in four of his last five games. His 1.43 points per game since Jan. 25 is ninth in the league (min. 10 games). He has points (8G, 12A) in 11 of his last 14 games.
