The Chicago Blackhawks have headed out west to begin a three-game Canada swing. They'll face off against the Vancouver Canucks on Wednesday, the Edmonton Oilers on Thursday and Calgary Flames on Saturday before returning home.

The Canucks split their goaltending between Anders Nilsson and Jacob Markstrom. So far this season, Nilsson has edged Markstrom in performance with a 2.67 GAA and .912 save percentage through six starts.
The Blackhawks are led in scoring by Patrick Kane, whose scorching start has resulted in 11 goals and seven assists in 12 games thus far. Alex DeBrincat is second with eight goals and six assists for 14 points.
Captain Jonathan Toews has also performed well, producing six goals and five assists.
Corey Crawford has been solid between the pipes for Chicago, recording a 2.44 GAA and .919 save percentage through five starts. He has a record of 3-2-0.
SEASON SERIES:
This is the first of three meetings this season between the two clubs. They'll play in Chicago on Feb. 7 and on March 18.
Last season, the Canucks swept the Blackhawks in their three-game series by a combined score of 14-6.
LINEUP NOTES:
Kane did not participate in the morning skate as he's dealing with an illness. His status for the game tonight is to be determined, according to the Blackhawks.

The lines looked as follows:
DeBrincat-Toews-Kahun
Saad-Anisimov-Martinsen (substituting for Kane)
Fortin-Johnson-Schmaltz
Kunitz-Kampf-Kruger-Hayden
It is confirmed that Crawford gets the start between the pipes.
OPPONENT TO WATCH:
While Horvat and Pettersson are tied for the Canucks lead in goals and points, Pettersson has done it in six fewer games than Horvat.
The 6-foot-2, 176-pound center was selected in the first round, fifth overall, of the 2017 NHL Draft.

Pettersson is the third player in Canucks history to score at least seven goals through his first seven games. (Greg Adams in 1987-88 and Alexander Mogilny in 195-96).
He's coming off a two-goal performance in Minnesota and has scored in three of his last four games. He missed some action due to injury but is back in business for the Canucks.
