BLOG: Practice updates from New York 1/16

Following an off-day on Tuesday, the Blackhawks returned to the ice on Wednesday for practice at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Chicago takes on the Rangers on Thursday at 6 p.m. CT. The game can be seen on NBCSCH, streamed on NHL.TV and via the MyTeamsApp or heard on WGN 720.
The Blackhawks tried to keep things lighthearted and high-energy at practice.
"Happy hockey players are good hockey players so let's get them going," said Head Coach Jeremy Colliton. "Let's have energy. It wasn't the game we wanted, but no point dwelling on it. I think we know that isn't us. Part of that is the energy, the enthusiasm, the compete and battle level. That's what we're missing, so let's bring that tomorrow."
