Blackhawks players and staff arrived at Medinah Country Club on Monday for the Chicago Blackhawks Foundation's 19th Annual Four Feathers Golf Invitational.
The golf outing is one of the most important events of the year for the Chicago Blackhawks Foundation and marks the first time the team will come together before the 2018-19 season.
"Over the last eighteen years, having raised about five million dollars through this event, that kind of money and that kind of impact throughout our community is profound," Chicago Blackhawks Vice President of Marketing Pete Hassen said.
Medinah Country Club, host of three U.S. Opens and two PGA Championships, provided a stunning backdrop for the event. Blackhawks players, coaches and front office staff hit the links with foundation donors before an evening reception and silent auction, also benefiting the Chicago Blackhawks Foundation.
Former players took part in Four Feathers, including BHTV host Adam Burish, who showed his trash talk is already in midseason form.
"Seabrook comes for the free food, Toews comes for all the greenery - he's looking to pick vegetables out here, Kane's game is very average, but obviously good hands around the green. He thinks he's better than he is," said Burish. "Nick Schmaltz is a really good golfer, probably the best golfer on the team. Only so-so when there's some money on the line."
This year marked a record amount of Four Feathers participants, helping the Chicago Blackhawks Foundation continue to support a range of programming throughout the community.
"We can't really stress how much their money helps us do what we need to for the Chicago Blackhawks Foundation," Hassen said. "For our players, it's a nice way to come out and start the season."
