BLOG: Crawford happy to be back with teammates

The Blackhawks goaltender has made progress toward a return from his concussion

Corey Crawford was once again at practice with the team on Monday but, unlike Saturday's only 20 minutes of ice time, the goaltender stayed until the end of this session.

"I'm feeling good," said the goalie, who is recovering from a concussion suffered on Dec. 16. "That's the most important thing right now."

Crawford says conditioning isn't much of an issue for him right now.

"I've been working out pretty hard the last week or so," he said. "I think I'm in good shape right now. This was the first full practice, but I felt better today seeing pucks than… Saturday. Just keep going. Hopefully, nothing trickles back and I can just feel good from here on."

The goalie says he's taking things slow before his return, making sure he's fully healthy before he sees game action.

"Just got to be smart. I'm not trying to push it too fast and I'm just happy to be back."
