While the Blackhawks were busy selecting their 2021 NHL Draft class over the weekend, three of the top picks from the 2020 class began a busy week at the USA Hockey World Junior Summer Showcase.
Drew Commesso
(2nd Rd., 46th Ovr.),
Wyatt Kaiser
(3rd Rd., 81st Ovr.) and
Landon Slaggert
(3rd Rd., 79th Ovr.) are part of the 44-player roster gathered in Plymoth, Mich. for the annual U.S. evaluation camp ahead of the 2022 IIHF World Junior Championship beginning in late December.

In the opening set of games on Sunday, Slaggert and Kaiser both skated for Team White in a 2-1 loss to Finland while Commesso backstopped Team Blue for two periods en route to a 4-2 win over Sweden, making 21 saves on 22 shots he faced (.955 SV%).

Alongside the trio of 2020 picks is also 2021 draftee Connor Kelley, one of two Chicago picks in the seventh round on Saturday. He also skated in Team White's 2-1 loss on Sunday.
Both U.S. sides will play four more contests this week to round out the Summer Showcase. You can check out the full schedule and stream info
