The Chicago Blackhawks announced today that they recalled forward Tanner Kero from the American Hockey League's Rockford IceHogs and placed forward Artem Anisimov on Injured Reserve, retroactive to Dec. 18.
Kero, 24, paces Rockford with 20 points (7G, 13A) this year. The Hancock, Mich., native picked up one goal and two assists in 17 games with the Blackhawks last season. Anisimov has registered 14 goals and 13 assists in 32 games this season.
The Blackhawks return to action Friday when they host the Colorado Avalanche at 7:30 p.m. at the United Center. The game can be seen on CSN, streamed live online at CSNChicago.com (CSNChicago.com/BlackhawksStream) and the NBC Sports App, and heard on WGN Radio.
