Preseason Lineup: Avalanche vs. Stars

The Colorado Avalanche will use a lineup close to its opening night roster tonight when it finishes preseason play against the Dallas Stars at Ball Arena.
The Avalanche trio of Gabriel Landeskog, Nathan MacKinnon and Mikko Rantanen is expected to be intact and the forward lines in the contest could be the same that the Avs will use to open the new campaign on Wednesday against the Chicago Blackhawks. Mikhail Maltsev will be the scratched forward this evening.

Colorado made five roster moves on Friday, reducing its roster to include 13 forwards, 10 defensemen and three goaltenders.
The backend will feature veterans Samuel Girard, Erik Johnson, Ryan Murray and Jack Johnson and rookies Bowen Byram and Justin Barron. Professional tryout defenseman Jack Johnson is set to play in his fifth exhibition outing while prospect Justin Barron will skate in his fourth preseason matchup.
Goaltenders Jonas Johansson and Darcy Kuemper will suit up for the game with Johansson expected to be in net. Kuemper played in the previous exhibition outing on Thursday and made 26 saves.
