Wild Prospects - World Juniors Update

EDMONTON, Alberta -The Minnesota Wild have eight prospects playing in the IIHF World Junior Championship in Edmonton, Canada, from August 9-20. Daily updates will be provided to track player performance throughout the tournament.

Semifinals Update
Four Wild prospects played in the semifinals yesterday at the 2022 World Juniors.
Defenseman Ryan O'Rourke skated 7:28 in a 5-2 win vs. Czechia.
Defenseman David Spacek skated 20:06 in the loss to Canada. Spacek was named one of Czechia's top three players of the tournament.

Goaltender Jesper Wallstedt made 27 saves and forward Liam Ohgren skated 11:55 in a 1-0 loss to Finland. Wallstedt was named one of Sweden's top three players of the tournament.

Forward Servac Petrovsky was named one of Slovakia's top three players of the tournament.

Quarterfinals Update
Six Wild prospects played in the quarterfinals yesterday at the 2022 World Juniors.
Goaltender Jesper Wallstedt made 11 saves and forward Liam Ohgren skated in 14:28 of TOI in Sweden's 2-1 win vs. Latvia.

Defenseman Ryan O'Rourke tallied an assist in 8:27 of TOI in Canada's 6-3 win vs. Switzerland.

Defenseman David Spacek skated a team-high 23:23 of TOI in Czechia's 4-2 win vs. USA.

Defenseman Brock Faber skated in 20:49 of TOI and defenseman Jack Peart skated in 12:45 of TOI in a 4-2 loss to Czechia.

DefensemanRyan O'Rourke skated in 7:34 of TOI in a 6-3 win for Canada vs. Finland (8/15) to help Canada claim first place in Pool A. Defenseman Carson Lambos did not play.

Forward Liam Ohgren skated in 14:20 of TOI in a 4-2 win for Sweden vs. Germany. Goaltender Jesper Wallstedt did not play.

Defenseman David Spacek recorded 4 shots in 18:16 of TOI in Czechia's 5-2 loss to Latvia.

Four Wild prospects were in action yesterday at the 2022 World Juniors.
Defenseman Brock Faber (captain) recorded one shot in 17:22 of TOI and defenseman Jack Peart tallied an assist and four shots in 15:06 of TOI as the United States shutout Austria, 7-0.

Defenseman Ryan O'Rourke registered one shot in 7:49 of TOI in Canada's 5-1 win vs. Czechia. Defenseman Carson Lambos did not play.
Defenseman David Spacek (assistant captain) recorded two shots in 23:22 of TOI in a 5-1 loss to Canada.
August 12th
Two Wild prospects were in action yesterday on day four of the 2022 World Juniors.
Forward Liam Ohgren recorded an assist in Sweden's 6-0 win vs. Austria. Goaltender Jesper Wallstedt did not play.

Forward Servac Petrovsky registered 5 shots in 19:07 of TOI in Slovakia's 3-2 win vs. Latvia.

Defenseman Brock Faber (captain) was a plus-3 and defenseman Jack Peart tallied an assist in USA's 5-1 win vs. Germany.
Defenseman David Spacek registered an assist on the GWG and 5 shots in Czechia's 5-4 win vs. Slovakia. Forward Servac Petrovsky recorded two points (1-1=2), 4 shots and a plus-2 rating for Slovakia.
