Dennys Our Ice 1 1.4.19

Throughout the 2018-19 season, Wild.com will chronicle stories of those whose water is used to help create the ice at Xcel Energy Center. Fans can bring their water -- along with what it means to them -- to any home game, or submit it via mail, and have it added to the Wild's home sheet.
For Bruce and Brenda Denny, water from Lake Winnibigoshish symbolizes family.
In 1932, their grandpa opened Denny's Resort, located in Bena on the southern shores of "Lake Winnie." For generations, the Dennys have created lasting traditions and memories together at the resort.

As avid fishermen, the Dennys take advantage of their cabins in northern Minnesota 365 days a year.
During the summer, they can be found on the lake, with the sun on their faces, wind in their hair and fishing poles resting off every corner of their boats. During the winter, they also can be found on the lake -- this time around a heater in an ice house, dressed in their warmest, their fishing rods now down a couple of holes.

And as avid hockey fans, the Dennys can be found at various home games throughout the season, which is why they decided to be a part of the Wild's "This Is Our Ice" tradition. On Nov. 23, they made a special in-game contribution to the home sheet at Xcel Energy Center.
"Our contribution is a sincere representation of our family and all the hard work that has been done and passed down for four generations," Brenda said.
