Dallas Stars General Manager Jim Nill announced today that the club has recalled forward Jason Dickinson from the Texas Stars, Dallas' top development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL). The team has also placed forward Antoine Roussel on Injured Reserve, retroactive to Dec. 20.
Dickinson, 21, has registered 14 points (4-10=14) in 19 games with Texas this season. The forward ranks sixth on the team with a +7 plus/minus rating and shares fifth among Texas forwards with 10 assists so far in 2016-17. Dickinson has also appeared in one game for Dallas this season.
The 6-foot-2, 205-pound native of Georgetown, Ont. was originally selected by Dallas in the first round (29th overall) of the 2013 NHL Draft.
Roussel, 27, shares fourth on Dallas with 12 assists and is tied for fifth with 17 points (5-12=17) in 34 games this season. The forward paces the NHL with 87 penalty minutes, while he is tied for second on the Stars with a +5 rating so far in 2016-17.
The 6-foot, 200-pound native of Roubaix, France was undrafted and signed with Dallas as a free agent on July 2, 2012.
