• The native of Lakeville, Minnesota has appeared in 22 games this season and has registered a 15-5-0 record with a 2.36 GAA and .921 SV%.
• Oettinger ranks ninth in the NHL in GAA and ranks tied for 10th in SV%.
• On Tuesday night in Denver, he stopped 46 of 47 shots against the Avalanche, setting new career highs for saves and shots against.
• His previous career best for saves in a single game was 41 against the Carolina Hurricanes on April 3, 2021 (3-2 Stars victory).
• Oettinger's 46 saves were the sixth-most by a netminder in Dallas Stars history (1993-present) and the most by a Stars goaltender since Anton Khudobin posted 49 saves against the Florida Panthers on Feb. 22, 2021.
• He's now one of four goaltenders in franchise history to have recorded 20-plus wins over their first 50 career games, joining Marty Turco (26 wins, 50 GP), Roman Turek (26 wins, 50 GP) and Mike Smith (24 wins, 44 GP). He's also the youngest of that quartet to reach the milestone at 23 years and 59 days, surpassing Mike Smith (25 years, 338 days).
