The Dallas Stars and Vancouver Canucks meet on Saturday night at Rogers Arena for the final game of a four-game road trip. Dallas and Vancouver clash for the third and final time in 2018-19 and for the second game this season at Rogers Arena. The Stars are 1-0-1 this season vs. the Canucks, posting a 0-0-1 record on home ice and a 1-0-0 record on the road. Against Vancouver, Dallas has won 14 of the last 18 overall games (14-2-2) and have collected points in nine consecutive road games (8-0-1) at Rogers Arena dating back to the 2012-13 season. Dallas' road point streak at Vancouver is the club's longest road point streak against any NHL team. In two games vs. the Canucks in 2018-19, captain Jamie Benn leads all Stars skaters with three points (2-1=3). On special teams, the Stars are 0-for-5 on the power play and a perfect 6-of-6 (100%) on the penalty kill. In the most recent game between the two clubs, Vancouver defeated the Stars in the shootout, 3-2, on March 17 at American Airlines Center. Benn (1-0=1) and defenseman Taylor Fedun (1-0=1) lit the lamp for the Stars and goaltender Anton Khudobin turned aside 25 of the 27 shots he faced. Dallas defeated Vancouver, 2-1, in the first game of the season at Rogers Arena on Dec. 1. Benn posted a game-high two points (1-1=2) and right wing Alexander Radulov potted the game-winning goal (1-0=1) in the third period.

Road warriors

Dallas has won seven-straight road games (7-0-0) away from American Airlines Center. The Stars are 7-for-17 (41.2%) on the power play and 12-of-15 (80%) on the penalty kill during their current road winning streak. Over the last seven road contests, the Stars rank first on the road in the NHL in wins (7), power play percentage (41.2%), total points (14), while also allowing the second-fewest total goals against (10) and ranking ninth in total goals for (23). The club's seven-game road winning streak is the longest active road winning streak in the NHL and the longest by the Stars since rattling off a franchise-record eight consecutive wins (8-0-0) from Dec. 13, 2010 - Jan. 20, 2011. With a win on Saturday against Vancouver, Dallas will move into a tie for the longest road winning streak in club history and match the longest road winning streak this season by an NHL team (also: St. Louis and Nashville). The Stars are a perfect 6-0-0 on the road during the month of March. Per NHL Stats, this is the eighth time in franchise history in which the Stars have won as many as six games on the road in a calendar month. Most recently, the team played eight road games in February of 2016 and recorded six wins (6-1-1). The franchise record for the most wins in a single month is seven, when the Stars won seven of their 10 road contests (7-1-2) in December of 1998.
