The Dallas Stars and Boston Bruins face off on Friday night at American Airlines Center. The two clubs meet for the second time during the 2018-19 campaign and for the second occasion in less than two weeks. Dallas has collected points in two of the last three games against Boston (1-1-1). In the first game of the season series at TD Garden on Nov. 5, Boston defeated Dallas in overtime, 2-1. Forward Radek Faksa potted the lone goal (1-0=1) for the Stars and defenseman Miro Heiskanen added an assist (0-1=1). Goaltender Anton Khudobin turned aside 33 of the 35 shots he faced against his former team. On special teams, the Stars were 0-of-1 on the power play and 1-for-3 on the penalty kill. The Stars have lost five-straight games (0-5-0) to the Bruins at American Airlines Center, which is the club's longest active home losing streak to any NHL club (last win: 4-2, Dec. 31, 2011). During the only game of the 2017-18 season in the Lone Star State, the Bruins defeated the Stars, 3-2, on March 23, 2018. Captain Jamie Benn (1-0=1) and defenseman Esa Lindell (1-0=1) lit the lamp for Dallas with center Tyler Seguin (0-1=1), forward Jason Dickinson (0-1=1) and defenseman Stephen Johns (0-1=1) each adding assists.
