After the final preseason game at the Canadian Tire Centre, Thomas Chabot made a prediction to the media. “We’ll see Hoyt Stanley in Ottawa before long.”
With just a few hours to go before the regular-season home opener, Stanley has just been called up.
The 21-year-old right-handed defenseman played in the first two regular-season games for the Belleville Senators last weekend. He is still looking for his first point. These two games come on top of the six he played with the B-Sens toward the end of last season.
The Senators will face the Philadelphia Flyers in their home opener. Players will begin walking the red carpet starting at 3:30 p.m.
