Today, the Ottawa Senators announced a month-long food drive that will take place at each event or Senators hockey game at Canadian Tire Centre between now and the end of the month of October. The food drive will begin tonight at the Andre Rieu concert at Canadian Tire Centre and run through the seven Senators home games and three concerts before concluding at the Joe Bonamassa performance on Wednesday, Oct. 31.
Collection bins will be located at Gates 1, 2, and 3 where fans can donate non-perishable food items and dry goods which will be directed to both the Ottawa Food Bank and Moisson Outaouais to help those impacted by the storms.
To help bolster food drive efforts, and to recognize fans who were either unable to come to Canadian Tire Centre, or braved the storm to be in attendance, the Ottawa Senators will be providing complimentary tickets for ticket-holders of the tornado-affected game.
All fans who purchased a ticket to the Ottawa's Sept. 21, 2018, pre-season game vs. the Chicago Blackhawks will be able to claim complimentary tickets to one of four upcoming games: Saturday, Sept. 29 vs. the Montreal Canadiens, Wednesday, Oct. 10 vs. the Philadelphia Flyers, Monday, Oct. 15 vs. the Dallas Stars or Tuesday, Oct. 23 vs. the Boston Bruins.
The original ticket purchaser will receive an email by Friday, Sept. 28, with a link and a unique promo code to redeem the same number of tickets, in an area similar to their original tickets for the Sept. 21 game, based on availability.
Those who made their original purchase at the Canadian Tire Centre Box Office or a Sens Store location are asked to bring their Sept. 21 tickets to the Canadian Tire Centre Box Office to claim new tickets. If you are the recipient of tickets from the original purchaser, please defer to them for more information. The box office is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. from Monday to Saturday.
