Two Sabres prospects skated away with bronze medals at the 2022 IIHF World Junior Championship in Edmonton.
Isak Rosen (2021, first round) scored the go-ahead goal in the second period and logged 8:58 of ice time to help Sweden capture third place in a 3-1 victory over Czechia. Linus Sjodin (2022, seventh round) netted his first goal of the tournament to make it 3-1 in the third.
For Czechia, Jiri Kulich (2022, first round) logged a game-high five shots.
In the Gold Medal Game, Canada defeated Finland 3-2 in overtime.

Rosen finished with five points (4+1) Sjodin posted one goal in the tournament through seven games.
Kulich was tied for 13th in tournament scoring with seven points (2+5).

Kozak signs entry-level contract

Tyson Kozak became the sixth member of Buffalo's 2021 draft class to sign his entry-level contract.
Buffalo selected Kozak in the seventh round and he then went on to post 69 points (32+37) in 66 games for the Portland Winterhawks of the WHL.
"Watching him out there, you'd think he went in the top three rounds, to be honest with you," Rochester Americans assistant coach Michael Peca said during development camp. "The kid's impressive. He's quiet, he's unassuming, but he's a real hockey player. He does everything right on the ice."
