WINNING WAYS - The Rangers earned a point in a sixth-straight game (6-0-1) and have won seven of their last 10 games. New York's six-game point streak is the second longest of the season behind its seven games in a row with a win/point from Nov. 21-Dec. 7, 2021. New York ranks tied for fourth in wins (33) and fifth in points (71) in the NHL.
GARDEN PARTY - New York tallied a point for a fifth-straight home game (4-0-1) and have now earned a point in 11 of its last 12 games at MSG (9-1-2). The Blueshirts' .771-point percentage at home ranks tied for fifth in the NHL.
KILLING IT- The Rangers went 4-for-4 on the penalty kill tonight, improving to 25-3-3 when not allowing a power play goal in a game. It marked the seventh time this season, the Rangers have had a perfect penalty kill with four or more times shorthanded.
LEADING THE WAY - The Blueshirts improved to 20-3-2 when scoring first, 15-3-0 when leading after the first period, 18-1-3 when leading after the second period, and 27-4-1 when scoring three or more goals in a game.
TWICE IN THE THIRD - New York scored two goals in the third period to cement their lead and the win. The Rangers have totaled 62 third period goals on the season, tied for the fifth-most in the NHL.

  • Mika Zibanejad recorded his 15th multi-point game of the season and sixth multi-point effort in his last 12 contests. He scored his 20th goal of the year and his fourth goal in the past six games. Zibanejad reached the 20-goal mark for a fifth consecutive season with New York. Only five players in franchise history have recorded a longer stretch of consecutive 20-goal campaigns: Jean Ratelle (8 from 1967-68 - 1974-75), Andy Bathgate (7 from 1956-57 - 1962-63), Vic Hadfield (7 from 1967-68 - 1973-74), Rod Gilbert (7 from 1970-71 - 1976-77) and Bryan Hextall Sr. (6 from 1938-39 - 1943-44). Zibanejad has points in seven of his last eight games (5G-6A) and in 15 of his last 17 games (9G-14A).
    - Chris Kreider scored his 34th goal of the season, tied for the second most in the NHL. His 34 goals are the eighth most by a Ranger in a single season since 1998-99 and the most by a Ranger through 51 games since Mark Messier and Pat Verbeek during the 1995-96 season.
    - Adam Fox notched his 42nd assist of the season, the most among defensemen in the NHL and tied for the fourth-most among skaters in the league. Fox has points in nine of his last 11 games (2G-11A) dating back to Jan. 13 and points in 12 of his last 16 games (2G-16A).
    - Igor Shesterkin, making his 80th NHL appearance, won for the seventh time in his last nine games and has won 12 of his last 14 starts. In his last 21 starts, he has allowed two or fewer goals in 16 of them. Shesterkin ranks first in the NHL in save percentage (.940) and goals against average (1.98), and ranks tied for fourth in wins (25). When making 35 or more saves this season, Shesterkin is 7-0-0.
    - Alexis Lafreniére tallied his third multi-point game of the season with a goal and an assist. Lafreniére has scored three goals in his last six games and has 11 overall on the season. He is one goal away from tying his mark set last year, his rookie season.
    - Barclay Goodrow scored his 11th goal of the season, continuing his career-high year in goals. With 22 points (11G-11A), Goodrow is four points from tying his career-high point total of 26 set in 2019-20 with San Jose and Tampa Bay. Goodrow has five points (4G-1A) in his last nine games and 11 points (7G-4A) in his last 17 games.
    - Kevin Rooney registered his seventh goal of the season, and first since December 7 at Chicago, one shy of tying his career-high mark of eight last season with the Rangers.
    - Ryan Reaves notched an assist for his 10th point (2G-8A) of the season, the sixth time in his career he has notched 10 or more points in a single season. His eight assists are the second most in a single season during his career with 11 in 2018-19 with Vegas leading the way.
    - Ryan Lindgren reached the 10-point mark on the year (4G-6A) with his second period assist, his first point since recording an assist on January 27 at Columbus. Lindgren was a plus-3, tied for his season-high mark (Jan. 19 vs. TOR, Nov. 26 at BOS).
    - Zac Jones, recalled today by the Blueshirts, registered his second assist/point of the season and the sixth assist/point of his 16-game career. His two assists this season have come in his last five games.
