  • Andrew Copp became the third Ranger to score a goal in each of his first three playoff games with the team, joining Alex Kovalev (4 GP in 1994) and Bernie Nicholls (3 GP in 1990). Copp is the first player to score in each of the Rangers' first three games of a playoff year since Brian Boyle in 2012. Copp has recorded 21 points (11G-10A) in 19 combined (reg. season/playoff) games with the Blueshirts. Tonight was Copp's first career shorthanded playoff tally and sixth career playoff goal.
    - Alexis Lafrenièrenotched his first career playoff point on the Kakko goal. The last Rangers skater younger than Alexis Lafrenière (20 years, 208 days) to record a playoff point was Steven Rice (19 years, 322 days) in Game 6 of 1991 Division Semifinals.
    - Frank Vatrano scored a goal for a second-straight game, giving him four points (2G-2A) through three games. Including the regular season and playoffs, Vatrano has 11 goals and six assists for 17 points in 19 career games against the Penguins.
    - Artemi Panarin scored his second goal of the postseason, giving him a combined 100 points throughout the regular season and playoffs. The last Rangers skater to record at least 100 points in the regular season and postseason combined was Jaromir Jagr in 2006-07 (107 PTS).
    - Chris Kreidertallied an assist and has four points (2G-2A) through the first three games of the series. Tonight, Kreider surpassing Brian Leetch for the eighth most playoff games played by a Ranger (83). Kreider is one point away (44) from tying Adam Graves, Brad Park, Derick Brassard for the 11th most points in Rangers playoff history.
    - Kevin Rooney recorded his first career playoff point with a shorthanded assist. In his career, including the regular season, Rooney has seven shorthanded points (5G-2A).
