This weekend has already been a blast.
Even just getting to Vegas was exciting. We were fortunate enough to fly private, so that was a cool experience. It was me, my family, Bruno and his wife. It was a five-hour flight, so we all just chatted and had fun. Bruno is a really good guy. My dad liked talking to him a lot during the flight.

Having done this once before in 2020, I feel like All-Star Weekend is just something you need to have fun with. You need to bring your family and friends. It's a place where you can share things with the people that you love. It's an honor to be here, and I wouldn't be here without all of them.
When we arrived in Vegas, we got a warm welcome.
After doing our thing on Thursday - restaurants, seeing the sights, etc. - I spent most of Friday morning doing media. It's always fun to do interviews when your team is doing well and you're doing well. It's an honor to be representing the Panthers. I'm going to be doing it the right way.
When it came time to do the NHL All-Star Skills Competition, I was excited that I was one of the players chosen to do the Fountain Face-Off. Even though I didn't win, it was a cool experience. I mean, it's not every day that you get to just walk around the big fountains at the Bellagio, right?

It was a little cold during the event, but I think all of us were more focused on not falling into the water. I think they told us that it was 30-feet deep or something like that. When you look at it from the strip, you'd never imagine there's that much water. It was a great time and a really unique event.
Honestly, I really enjoy the skills portion of All-Star Weekend. It's just really relaxed. You get to chat with some guys you've never met, and also catch-up with other guys you haven't seen in a while. It's the one time we're all in the same place, and it's fun to see what all the guys can do.
It's my goal to meet and talk to every guy that's here.
Well, that and winning the All-Star Game on Saturday.
We lost to the Pacific Division in the championship game when I was first here back in 2020, so it'd be fun to win this time around. You tell yourself that it's just guys having fun, but by the end of the game you can tell every guy on the ice wants to win. I think the 3-on-3 format is great. It's fun for the fans and fun for us to play. We're going to give it all for the Atlantic Division out there.
It's also going to be great to have Bruno behind the bench.
He's awesome, so hopefully I'll get some nice ice time.
See you back in South Florida,
