Game-7-Postcard-16x9

Hey Panthers fans,

We're feeling great this morning.

That was just such an emotional night in Boston. It was an awesome, awesome feeling just celebrating with all of the guys on the ice after the win. We came back, we won Game 7 and now we're all waking up today and everyone is in a good mood. We're excited to go to Toronto now.

On the game-winning goal in overtime, it started with just a battle behind the net. I think the puck was knocked down or something. Chucky was just digging at it until it popped free to me. When I turned around, I saw that Swaggy was open right in the circle waiting for a pass.

Swaggy's a dangerous shooter, so I knew that once he got that shot off his stick that it would have a good chance of going in. He's a gamer. He's got that incredible shot and he shows up in big games at big moments. That's what good players do. He was awesome for us all series.

When I saw the puck go in, it was just pure adrenaline. You just wanted to skate over to the rest of the guys as fast you could. I actually fell jumping into the pile. I laughed. The guys have been chirping me about it since they saw the video. I was just so tired and so excited. It was awesome.

Even when we were down 3-1 in the series, we felt fine in the room. I don't think there was even one point where we ever counted ourselves out or were worried. We never felt the pressure or felt like we couldn't win. Our team had complete belief in our group the entire time in the series.

That was an amazing comeback, but I don't think it's really sunk in yet what we accomplished. It's such a quick turnaround in the playoffs. We've already got to worry about playing Toronto. We're not trying to make light of how incredible the series was, but it's time to move on to Round 2.

When I look back to last season, I think we're a lot more structured. We know the way we need to play to win this year. We have everyone bought into this system of just battling hard, doing the little things and doing whatever it takes to win these games.

Being from Ontario, I'm really excited to go back home to Toronto for this next round.

I'm sure I'll have a lot of friends and family to see, and it'll be a fun series, for sure.

See you back in Sunrise for Game 3,
